The results of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 show that since 2014, ARU College has made considerable improvements in the quality and impact of its research, and is now conducting “world-leading” research that addresses pressing global problems.

The impact that ARU College’s nine faculties have had on the world as a whole has been deemed “world-leading.” These include the fields of allied health, business, management, communication, culture, and media, language, history, music, theatre, and dance, psychology, social work and social policy, and sociology.

Location

Located in the east of England, less than an hour’s train ride from London, ARU College has three state-of-the-art main campuses.  You will be studying at the Rivermead campus, in Chelmsford. It is a place of incredible cultural diversity, with a large number of nationalities being represented. 

The campus is located in a lovely setting on the banks of the Chelmer River, just a ten-minute stroll from the heart of town. Most of the structures at Rivermead are less than 10 years old, making it a relatively new campus. Recent surveys of British residents have placed Chelmsford among the country’s top ten finest cities in which to make a permanent home. ARU College’s Chelmsford campus is conveniently located near two airports (Cambridge and London Stansted), and is well-connected to the rest of the UK by national rail.
