It is a great tragedy that something as important as a good education still appears like a dream to so many people in this day, and age. For some of us it presents a huge challenge as there are many, or significant barriers in the way, and it seems as if there is little, if any support.
Here we discuss some of the challenges that might be holding you back from pursuing a place at university, and the solutions.
The most important thing is that you speak to us before deciding that it is not possible for you to achieve. We pride ourselves on being willing to find a solution for everyone, no matter what the problem may be.
In some countries or cultures, you may find people discourage your desire to gain a degree, or find that universities favour other people when they award their places. We at Lion Heart Education Service are champions of your right to the education you deserve. So, we only work with universities we know will accept you as you are, no matter what your social, cultural, economic, racial, or religious background. Each institution values inclusion and diversity, and works hard to make sure you feel welcome, and at home away from home.
Practical barriers are among the most common reasons people give for not going to university. They may say it’s too expensive, they have childcare responsibilities, or they have issues with the travel. These barriers are no now longer a problem.
Most students are eligible for a Student Finance loan to pay for their course, which they only begin to pay back when they are earning enough to do so.
Also, for people who are too busy to attend on campus due to their commitments, or travel issues, we have an increasing number of courses that can be done entirely online. If you have any doubts, or queries, please get in touch.
The thought of going back to study can be a source of great fear for many people. It can bring back bad memories and feelings of inadequacy. Poor learning experience can really harm your self-esteem, especially when they occur at an early age.
At Lion Heart Education Service, we are keenly aware that it is important to listen, and be supportive of everyone who comes to us. Especially when there may be some emotional anxieties involved. We, and our partners will do everything we can to help you replace those poor experiences with great ones, and help you perform at a level you never dreamed you could.
Many students are worried that they will not be able to work and study at the same time. What is interesting is that, in fact, you will find that most of our students are working. Some even do full-time jobs, and still manage to keep up with their studies, and do well.
Please see our section on this website about online courses and blended learning, to see how these may be the perfect solution if you have only a limited amount of time available to attend classes, or devote to study.
Remember that by going into higher education you’re investing in yourself as employee, as well as a person. Many employers will be sympathetic and may even encourage you. It may help you get a promotion that benefits both you and your employer. So don’t be too quick to assume their reaction will be a negative one, or try to judge the extent they will go to accommodate your decision to go to university. Its always better to at least try, so you will know what is true, rather than believe something you only thought was true.
Whatever the barriers or challenges you maybe facing, please get in touch with us, as we just might have the solution. Even if your obstacles seem impossible to overcome, it’s still worth giving us a try, as we just might surprise you.
Most academic institutions require evidence of English language ability. However, the standard of English required, and the type of evidence accepted will vary depending on the institution. Please get in touch to find out whether you meet the required standard, and have the right evidence for your preferred course.
