The university has three campuses that are full of activity. Each is different, but they all capture the spirit of the university. In the past few years, multimillion-pound improvements have made sure that Canterbury Christ Church University students have the best facilities possible. Libraries, study rooms, and IT that are up-to-date will give you all the academic tools you need, and the sports centre and fitness suite will let you work out, and play a wide range of sports. The Centre for Music has great places to perform, rehearse, and practise. If you choose to study the visual arts or media, you’ll also have great places to work.
The results of REF 2021 show that Canterbury Christ Church University is making real changes and solving real problems through its world-class research, that is important to the people of Kent and Medway, the rest of the UK, and the rest of the world.
More than 60% of the university’s research and almost 85% of its effects were judged to be world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*) in the assessment. The amount of work also went up. In 2014, 50% more staff submitted research for evaluation.
The university provides extensive support to students to assist with academic skills, and adjusting to the country, and university, and much more area. Additional support is available for international students.
Canterbury is easy to get to, and is less than an hour from London. It has a huge number of things to do, and people visit from all over the world. Because of this, an active international community has grown up. So, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, you’ll have lots of chances to meet new people and try new things.
The main campus is in Canterbury, which is known around the world for its cathedral, history, and beauty. It is also one of the safest university cities in the country. Broadstairs is the centre of creativity along the coast, and students who study here can get ideas from the town’s beautiful beaches and scenery. Lastly, the Medway campus has buildings that have won awards and brand-new, purpose-built facilities. You can get to London from there in 40 minutes by train.
