Course overview

You will be introduced to techniques of accounting, such as financial reporting, management accounting, auditing and taxation. If you choose to take our Economics and Accounting BSc you will have the opportunity to gain exemptions from certain professional exams through CIMA, ACCA, ACA (offered by the ICAEW), and ICAS giving you a head-start in a career in accountancy. These exemptions are dependent upon the satisfactory completion of certain modules.

Entry requirements

A/AS-levels: ABB. Two AS-levels considered in place of one A-level. General Studies or Critical Thinking not included. Own language may be considered.

EPQ with A-levels: BBB + EPQ at grade B.

Access to HE Diploma: Pass relevant Diploma with 45 credits at Level 3, including 30 credits at Distinction.

GCSE: Grade B (5) in Mathematics and Grade C (4) in English Language

International Baccalaureate: Pass Full Diploma with 30 points, including a minimum of grade 5 in SL Mathematics or 6 in SL Maths Studies or 4 in HL Mathematics if not held at GCSE.

BTEC Extended National Diploma: DDD in Business diploma with strong GCSE background including Mathematics at grade B (5) and English Language at grade C (4).

T Levels: Distinction in Finance (plus 5 GCSEs at grade 5 including Maths and English)
