Split across 2 floors, it has been decked out with the 21st century learner in mind, equipped with modern technology and furnishings to give students a relaxed and informal space to study and socialise in. QUALIFICATION (on successful completion)

Gateway Qualifications Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service

DAY & TIME:  For learners aged 16-18, a minimum of 1 day per week in the workplace and two days per week in class (one day for vocational knowledge and 1-2 days for GCSEs or Functional Skills if required).

DURATION:     11 months

IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to work in supervisory role in a range of business administration environments.

COURSE CONTENT

The qualification is generic and so is suitable for learners who want a generic qualification which is suitable for a wide range of roles within a customer service environment.

It is aimed at people who need to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, skills and understanding, understanding employer organisations and managing personal performance and development

Learners must achieve a minimum of 55 credits.

WORK PLACEMENT

You do not need to be working to complete this qualification;

however, work experience is recommended.

To progress to the Level 3 Diploma, you will also need to complete an Enhanced DBS check to confirm that you have no criminal convictions that would prevent you from working with vulnerable adults or children.

FUTURE OPTIONS and JOB ROLES

You may go on to study the level 4 qualification in customer service or to a management qualification at level 3; or find employment in one of the following:

  • customer service supervisor/team leader
  • call centre adviser
  • events coordinator
  • customer relationship manager
  • customer service manager

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) (QCF)

DAY & TIME:

Aged 16-18: 2 days per week in class (1 day for vocational knowledge and 1-2 days for GCSE or Functional Skills if required)

Aged 19+:    1 day per week in class

DURATION6-9 months

IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

This qualification is designed for those working with adults in a Health & Social Care setting. It is assessed through assignments, a portfolio, and observations in the workplace.

WORK PLACEMENT

This course requires a minimum of 16 hours each week working with adults in a real work environment. NEWTEC

staff can help you to arrange your placement if required.

You may go on to study a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care, or find employment as one of the following:
