QUALIFICATION (on successful completion)
Gateway Qualifications Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service
DAY & TIME: For learners aged 16-18, a minimum of 1 day per week in the workplace and two days per week in class (one day for vocational knowledge and 1-2 days for GCSEs or Functional Skills if required).
DURATION: 11 months
IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to work in supervisory role in a range of business administration environments.
The qualification is generic and so is suitable for learners who want a generic qualification which is suitable for a wide range of roles within a customer service environment.
It is aimed at people who need to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, skills and understanding, understanding employer organisations and managing personal performance and development
Learners must achieve a minimum of 55 credits.
You do not need to be working to complete this qualification;
however, work experience is recommended.
To progress to the Level 3 Diploma, you will also need to complete an Enhanced DBS check to confirm that you have no criminal convictions that would prevent you from working with vulnerable adults or children.
FUTURE OPTIONS and JOB ROLES
You may go on to study the level 4 qualification in customer service or to a management qualification at level 3; or find employment in one of the following:
- customer service supervisor/team leader
- call centre adviser
- events coordinator
- customer relationship manager
- customer service manager
